Filipino Beef Steak(Bistek)

All food lovers, here's another food recipe that I will provide. Beef Steak it great for everyday food in your dinning table, it is a mouth watering food that surely your children will love to eat. In the Philippines it is called Bistek, it is very famouse because of its sauce, mixed with sweet and sour. Here's the recipe. Enjoy!


Ingredients:


3/4 kilo tender beef steaks, sliced
1 tablespoon kalamansi or lemon juice
5 tablespoons soy sauce
3 cloves of garlic
1 small piece ginger, crushed
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 cup onions, sliced in rings
4 tablespoons cooking oil


Steps:


Marinate the pork or beef steak in kalamansi (lemon) juice, garlic, ginger, soy sauce and pepper for 30 minutes.


In a frying, add cooking oil. Add the marinated pork or beef steak and cook slow until done.


Increase heat for a minute or two to brown steaks.


Add the sliced onions and continue to cook for another minute.


Serve on a platter including the oil and sauce.


Best served with hot plain rice.

One month will still be fine(frozen fish).The saddest thing is,we are not talking of a month here but years.Fishes in Filipino shops are frozen for years,huh.The one I got last week was packed last November,start counting it from there and the expiration is by next year!

Question: why does Filipino food taste so good in P.I. but BLAND and yukky at the two Fil restaurants I've sampled in NYC and Boston????
